Welty on Wednesdays

I was not able to volunteer in the garden today, so I decided to let you know about a new exhibit recently unveiled at the Welty Museum.  The exhibit coincides with the 50th anniversary of the assassination of civil rights leader Medgar Evers.

The exhibit will be on display in the Visitor’s Center through October 31, 2013.

Come by and visit the Museum to see what’s new!

The summer plantings went in today and I will look forward to showing you what will be blooming this summer.  Thankfully we are getting a shower on Pinehurst Place right now so the plants will get a nice start.

I have decided to make the Wednesday posts all relate to Eudora Welty in some way.  For the weeks when I am not in the garden we can explore reading and other topics.  Today I have called the post Welty on Wednesday – what do you think?  Wednesday on Welty?  Let me know!
