Harrison Howard’s Flower Ladies

I saw some of Harrison Howard’s work a while back in conjunction with the Lauritzen Gardens Antique and Flower Show in Omaha, Nebraska.  I fell immediately in love with what he calls “The Flower Ladies”, his series of whimsical paintings of fantasies based on fashion design.

here are a few examples…

Born in 1954 in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania much of his artistic career has been creating murals, screens, panels and watercolors for private homes.

While perusing the information about the 2013 Lauritzen show I was pleased to notice a needlepoint pillow stitched with his design and so began to research availability of a kit.  Happily I have located a source and ordered a kit for myself…

Surprise – “The Gardener”…

Now I just have to quickly finish my current canvas so I can begin this one when it arrives!
