I had a visit with a neighbor this morning and commented on his Japanese magnolia being in full bloom. (most of them were lost to frost)

His, he explained, is always one of the last ones to bloom…

I am starting a new feature on the blog – Flower Of The Month – you can see the beginning of it over there in the sidebar.

 Stay tuned for updates!

The decision is difficult but the Camellia must take the month of March…

Be sure to stop and smell the tulips roses as they appear…

  1. Welcome Spring! Simply gorgeous. Thanks for sharing the beauty around you!

  2. Leslie Dement Cox says:

This post brought back such happy childhood memories of making “my wedding dress” from (much to Mother’s dismay, I’m sure, but she never scolded me for this) long branches of her flowering spirea; carefully folded at the end, so as not to break off, and stuck all ’round into my I.C. white, cotton, double-seated “underpants” to form the most fragrantly beautiful bell-shaped skirt………
The pix of the Bradford Pear against the blue sky – no words for the beauty of this………Thank you, as always, for another memorable post!!!!!

  3. no flowering plants here yet……….but LOVE the golden!
