One Year Later…

One year ago a devastating hail storm hit Jackson

and my Belhaven neighborhood caught the brunt of it…

As I stood watching out my back door I was drawn back inside by a strange noise which turned out to be golf ball sized hail bouncing down the stairs.  Multiple windows had been broken and blown in by the storm.

My garden is planned for year round enjoyment but really it is its finest in spring.  Last year was the exception – all of the preparation for spring flowering was torn apart in a few short minutes…

one year later I am looking forward to spring flowering…

and praying that the hail storm of 2013 was a once in a lifetime experience for me!

  1. How quickly the storms of life can pummel us and seemingly destroy the beauty around us. But, oh, there is always hope for a new day and new beauty…far greater beauty, for it is seen through fresh eyes–the eyes of knowing it can be gone in an instant. Praying your garden this year is more glorious than ever!

Isn’t it interesting how much devastation can increase gratitude? I too am hoping for a glorious spring this year!
