Porches: Ivy & Frank Alley

I love porches – front porches, side porches, screened porches – so I thought it would be fun to have a category here OPP dedicated to porches.  The first thing I did when this came to mind was call my friends, Ivy and Frank Alley, who just happen to have one of my favorite Belhaven porches.  I was so happy that they agreed to be my first porch post!

Theirs is a porch on the back of the house and is screened-in enabling out-of-doors enjoyment without the worry of fighting off Mississippi mosquitoes…

another plus – there are plexiglass panels that are popped in for the winter months

making the porch friendly year round, especially with a fireplace standing ready…

The crepe myrtle just beyond the porch makes a flashy statement in summer (we may have to come back!)…

I promise you will adore this – tiles are hand-painted by the grandchildren during their summer visits.

These will become a table top full of summer memories…

I think I would like to sign up for Camp Cat and Pup and hang out on this porch all summer long!
