LeFleur East Bridge and Brunch

I was honored to be invited, by a friend and reader of OPP,  to blog about the inaugural LeFleur East Bridge and Brunch Benefit yesterday.

The neighborhood foundation set about raising funds for the purchase of new signage which will designate the area, and the idea for this event was born.  With enthusiasm and hard work they did just that – enough funds were generated by the Bridge and Brunch Benefit to purchase and place five of the signs…

The Foundation was fortunate to receive this beautiful home as a donation at its’ inception…

These civic minded neighbors wanted to ensure that the house and property remained intact.   The creation of a neighborhood gathering place has added to the enhancement of LeFleur East and, in fact, the entire city of  Jackson.  Having been here on many different occasions when the couple lived here, it made me really happy to see the fruits of their generosity  being enjoyed this pretty summer day!

Parking can be an issue but the owners had thoughtfully created a pleasant little pathway leading to a side street which may be utilized for larger events…

I never got to speak to you yesterday! Thank you for posting, it was a great way to introduce the LeFleurs East House! Patty did a great job. I wish you would play bridge, but then one of your many other incredible talents might suffer! Love OPP

I saw you across the room! Didn’t want to interrupt anyone’s bridge game and get in trouble, ha! It was such a fun event and I am so glad I got to see it.
