Sanderson Voyage of Discovery

I received an email, from one you dear readers, with a link to the fabulous Sanderson Voyage of Discovery collection…

Sanderson Voyage of Discovery

The internationally renowned firm was founded in 1860 by Arthur Sanderson.  Collections of fabrics and wallpapers, bed linens and tableware are all quintessentially English – I love it all!

Sanderson was granted a Royal Warrant in 1923 and still supplies fabrics, paint and wall coverings to Queen Elizabeth and the British Royal Palaces.  Tradespeople who supply goods to royals have been issued Royal Warrants of Appointment which allow them to advertise the fact, thus increasing their prestige.

This collection, Voyage of Discovery, celebrates the pioneers of the past – from the 17th century historians illustrations all the way through to leisure travelers whose acquired collections are used to decorate their homes.  Having just returned from a voyage myself, I have a real appreciation for those collected items!

Featured are botanical etchings…
