Back to the Books

Labor Day is a real turning point in the year don’t you think?  For one thing, if you are school aged or have people living in your realm who are, it means that it is time to get back to the books!  These days that seems to actually happen much earlier than Labor Day for most but still it is the unofficial end to summer and has always been a major turning point in the year for me.

Book lover that I am I got sucked into watching Martha Stewart on the Today show the other day using various papers to create book covers and I remembered doing just that when I was in about junior high school.  We used brown paper bags to create our covers and then proceeded to decorate them to our hearts delight – fond memory!

Hers, of course, were a step above the simple brown paper sack!

I loved these funny papers…

That’s not all folks – have you heard of Thatcher Wine?

I believe he has trumped Ms. Stewart…
