Christmas at the Farm

Several years ago we acquired a little farm about an hour and a half from Jackson.  Well, it’s not just any farm.  This place is the homeplace of Mr. Doctor’s maternal family.  Built in 1898 and home to a family farm for many years, it was in need of some TLC and we were happy to oblige.  Mr. Doctor’s mother lives there full time now – imagine returning to live in the house where you were born!  It is a pretty special place for us.

With number two son and daughter home for the holidays (number one son lives in Jackson full-time) we all loaded up for a fun filled day at the farm on Saturday.

I took a little tour around the house and took some photos of mil’s inspired decorations!

I found this old greeting years ago at a flea market and used to hang it over the living room fireplace but thought it looked very welcoming at the front door this year…
