Sabino Canyon

One more dip into the desert and I will move on!

My final excursion before taking leave of Tucson was a tram tour through Sabino Canyon.  Sabino is a natural desert oasis and offers spectacular views of the desert landscape…

Sabino Canyon

our guide told us that the roots of the saguaro are shallow but are as wide as the plant is tall…

Sabino Canyon

this would be spectacular in May when all of these are in bloom…

Sabino Canyon

we also learned that there are no fish in this stream…

Sabino Canyon

it was so pretty…

Sabino Canyon

and then there was this amazing rock formation…

Sabino Canyon

the man in the canyon, looks like he is winking doesn’t it?…

Sabino Canyon

it was a gorgeous day for a final dip into the desert…
