Graduates and Mothers and Gardens

How much more could a weekend hold with graduates, Mother’s Day and pretty gardens to visit?

We had a fun-filled crazy weekend full of all three!

Daughter is finished with classes at Ole Miss (they will not give her the “piece of paper” until the 400 hour internship is complete and so we will go back for that in December) and with several classmates graduating and migrating the time for celebration was this weekend!

A dear friend, and her godfather, gave a beautiful dinner party on Friday night.  His garden is always amazing and the thing that caught my eye this time was the crazy number of cicadas…

Daughter and I spent most of the weekend packing her belongings and placing them in storage to await her move this fall but we squeezed in as much fun as we could!

On Sunday Mr. Doctor, daughter and I headed north to pay a Mother’s Day visit to my mother.  First thing I noticed upon arrival (after giving Mom a hug) was a vase of peonies on her dining room table…

I knew that there weren’t any in her garden and wanted to know who had gifted her with these beauties.  What I found out included an invitation to the friend’s garden even though she would not be at home to give us the tour.

So after lunch we headed right over…
