A Small World

I found the most interesting artist while hopping around Pinterest the other day – Ronan Jim Sevellec.  The 80 plus year old bohemian French artist grew up in his father’s ateliers and worked in Paris as a set decorator for many years.  The most recent news I could find of him was of an exhibition of his boxes of miniature rooms displayed in 2012.

searching for information about him led to the blog Messy Nessy Chic where the author had translated a Sevellec quote:

“[I] look to relive certain parts from my life, or rather crumbs, through the memory of observing others—and always with the same astonishment, the strange similarities between our memories of different pasts.”

Such an intriguing artist – I’d love to know more about him!  If any of you have more information about Sevellec please let me know!

There’s just something about a miniature anything that draws me right in…
