Garden Tour

I’ve been away from OPP for a few days and here is one reason why –

The Garden Club of Jackson’s Spring Garden Tour!  I was co-chairman of the shop, The Secret Garden, which was open for the two tour days but required several days for setup.

It was all great fun and a huge success and hopefully raised a nice sum for our selected projects, a pollinator garden at the Mississippi Children’s Museum and garden assistance at The Oaks House Museum.

I didn’t get to do much touring but did slip away to see one of the gardens and thought you’d enjoy seeing this one…

The house was beautiful and I spy a BViz pillow…

Loved the kitchen…

image

image

The over scaled arrangement – perfection…

image

Architectural remnants made for an elegant display on a covered porch…

image

But the real treat was the vegetable garden…

image

image

Loved the rebar fencing and you know I’m partial to a well placed watering can…

image

There was broccoli…

image

And cauliflower…

image

Pole beans climbing pretty tuteurs…

image

A comfy spot to rest…

image

Climbing hydrangea going wild giving me hope for the three that I planted last year…

image

I couldn’t believe that she already had dahlias budded…

image

Of course there was an artist painting in the garden…

The weather was perfect and a good time was had by all!

It’s good to be back on the keyboard after a busy week.   I hope that all of the mothers in my realm had a wonderful day on Sunday…
