The Gardens at Farleigh House

Let’s take another visit to Farleigh House in Hampshire and I’ll show you some of the garden rooms today.  If you missed the house tour you will find it

here

Georgia Langton was commissioned in 1992 to bring the gardens surrounding Farleigh House to life…

The contemporary wild rose and sculpture garden provide a bit of whimsy and a screen to adjacent to tennis courts…

Head gardener Andrew Wooley led us through the gardens and regaled with tales of the family’s kinship with Sir Isaac Newton.  Cuttings from his apple trees live on in the gardens here at Farleigh House…

The gardens feature in The Good Gardens Guide and the National Gardens Scheme’s Yellow Book.

Since the grounds are quite extensive I’ll split the tour into two posts…

I hope you’re enjoying the lazy days of summer…
