Moon Gates have many different spiritual meanings. The half moon of Chinese Summers is represented by the sloping roofs.  The gates are used symbolically as a display of class and beauty.  They serve as an inviting entrance into the upper class gardens of the rich in China.  I added one here OPP and can’t wait until the climbing roses cover it!
