This That and The Other

You may know that I’ve been in the midst of a kitchen renovation over here OPP.  Well, I’m still without the power to bake thanks to a faulty set of ovens being installed.  I’m kind of really really tired of it now!  Here’s the silver lining, a warming drawer that is also a slow cooker.  I ordered Fast and Slow from the popular author of the blog Skinnytaste and decided to jump on the slow cooker bandwagon…

Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the finished product!  Basically, it just involved poaching in a wine and water bath with sliced lemon and seasonings.  It turned out great!

Have you gotten any of these battery operated lights on copper wire?…

They are so easy to use and the wire is light and flexible.

I put them all around some magnolia leaves…

If the house is getting holiday ready then you know Cammie is too…

I hope you have a great weekend full of this, that and the other…

  1. Yes, I just got some of those lights to wrap around a wire tree I use year-round. They are beautiful. I thought they might be too bright, but the soft white light is almost the same as the lights on my pre-lit Christmas tree. I love the flexibility of the wire and the unending possibilities of how they can be used. And the strand I got said they can even be immersed in water (the wire part, not the electrical cord). What a great invention! Love reading your posts. Merry Christmas, Marsha!
