On The Move

I have been directly involved in five moves this summer – count ’em, five!  The final installment was daughter’s move to her first solo apartment in Nashville.  Luckily the event coincided with the great Eclipse and I was able to enjoy being in the path of totality!  It was amazing!

Here’s a little tour of her new space…

If the space looks a bit familiar from former posts it will be because this move takes her back to the apartment building she started out in two years ago!

She loves the industrial feel of the apartment…

She has done a good job of building on furnishings from her freshman year of college on and the only major piece needed for this transition is a sofa…

Oops, it didn’t arrive in time for move-in!  It is promised next week!

We found this cute pillow to dress up a chair that had lived in her bedroom previously…

The living area and kitchen are one big open space…

We’ll add in some rugs to help define each area.  This wall of doors we did not find very appealing so we elected to pretend that one of them was wall space…

We couldn’t resist this table/server…

It will serve her as a bedside table now but the oval pop ups on either end will certainly make it a versatile piece on down the road.

The bath and closet are one open area…

We will continue to refine that space as we go along.

One of daughter’s favorite pieces is the Jonathan Adler planter which had remained empty until last weekend…

I thought it turned out nicely…

You know I didn’t leave her without fresh flowers…

I believe it is all Poppy approved…

Enjoy your week!

Really cool décor. Where did you find the side table/chests in the living area?

Thanks Marsha! They came from Turquoise in Highland Village a couple of years ago. They have served a couple of different functions!
